Project: Gas to Liquid Studies

Client: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd., Noida

Technical Specifications

Texol supplied the Gas-to-Liquid Unit to BPCL, Noida in June 2010. The purpose of this unit is to study the Fischer-Tropsch reaction in slurry reactors. Albeit of having 2 constant pressure slurry reactors in series, the operation is in a continuous mode, with the reactor catalyst concentration as high as 50% w/v. The gas flow has the flexibility of operating in co-current as well as counter-current mode, while the liquid flow is only co-current.

Operating temperature: up to 500 degC, Operating pressure: max 100 bar g

The unit is completely automated with PC-PLC based control.
