Project: Hydrothermal Deactivation Unit

Client: Reliance Industries Ltd., Jamnagar
In January 2009, Texol supplied a Hydrothermal Deactivation Unit to Reliance Industries, Jamnagar. The facility is meant for studying deactivation and surface area changes on FCC catalysts at 800 Deg C in a fluidized bed reactor.
The system is designed for operating either one 5 kg catalyst capacity reactor or six smaller reactors having catalyst capacity of 75 gm each at 800 Deg C for a specified steaming time. Heating is done using fluidized sand bath kept in an electrical furnace.
The unit is completely automated with PC-PLC based control.
